A Brief History
Leisure Way Living Inc. (LWI), incorporated on November 14, 2014, draws on nearly 30 years of operational and clinical experience through its sister organization, Leisure Way Community Group Home & Consulting Services Inc., established in 1996. The Group Home has maintained continuous contracts with AHS and now ALA for almost three decades, demonstrating organizational stability, financial reliability, and long-standing compliance with provincial standards. Together, the two organizations represent extensive experience in Supportive Living and Continuing Care, with a proven record of safe, person-centered service delivery.
From 2023 to 2025, LWL’s sister company LWI received approximately thirty placement packages. Only four resulted in net refusals, and three of those were ultimately accepted after added care funding supports were secured. This demonstrates LWI’s willingness to collaborate, its ability to safely accommodate higher needs clients, & its commitment to supporting appropriate placement whenever possible.
Overall, Leisure Way Living Inc. demonstrates the competencies of organizational stability, experienced leadership, strong clinical governance, regulatory compliance, effective staffing models, and a proven ability to support individuals with complex needs in a safe, home-based environment.
Leisure Way Living Inc. (LWL) will commence its accreditation with the Canadian Accreditation Council (CAC) – Edmonton approximately six months after first admission to its Continuing Care Homes. Leisure Way Community Group Home is currently undergoing accreditation process with Canadian Accreditation Council (CAC).
